Scarce Hamilton “Carson” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1935.

The “Carson” was among the first group of Hamilton watches with the new 14/0-size grade 980 movement and was advertised as curved to fit the wrist. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1935 and is quite scarce with the inlaid enamel figure dial. This example has the earliest version of the 980 movement with a very low serial number which dates the watch to the first year of production... 1935. It is in excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 38mm long and 23mm wide. Original inlaid enamel dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $325.
