Scarce Hamilton “Whitney” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1932.

The “Whitney” has a very striking flared and stepped case... its dramatic design and low production make it among the most desirable of the early 1930s Hamilton models. It is a scarce model, with only 4,136 produced in white. With the applied gold numeral dial, it was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1932. This example is in excellent condition with only a very small amount of brassing to the bezel corners and the tips of the lugs, plus a few light marks. The casebody has some brassing to the edges. Caseback is excellent with an Art Deco monogram, plus some tiny spots of wear in the corners. Has original flat crown. The case measures 36mm long and 30mm wide. Original dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
