Rare Longines "Barrel" men's Modern design Masonic presentation wristwatch in sterling silver, circa 1923.

This rare early Longines model has an elaborate presentation inscription to Norman Broadwell Hickox as Worshipful Master of the Evans Lodge #524 of Evantson, Illinois. Hickox was born into the prominent Hickox family of Springfield, Illinois who were acquaintances of Abraham Lincoln and Senator Stephen Douglas. It is in excellent condition showing light wear. Caseback is excellent. Inlaid enamel dial is very good, with some patina from age. Case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. This is a Swiss-cased Longines and the case serial number matches the movement serial number. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel grade 11.88 Longines manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong
