Elgin “B.W. Raymond Railroad Wrist Chronometer” men’s Retro Modern design railroad-approved wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1960.

Elgin was the first U.S. watch company to offer a wristwatch approved for railroad timekeeping, and used the "B.W. Raymond" name carried over from its railroad approved pocket watches. This model was priced at $79.50 in 1960. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear and few light marks. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with some scratches. The case measures 42mm long and 36mm wide. Older refinished dial is excellent with a few faint marks. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 23-jewel  730A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
