Benrus Engraved Tonneau 2
Benrus “Engraved Tonneau” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium plate, circa 1929.
This spectacular Benrus has ornately engraved flexible lugs. This is the first example I have seen of this factory-signed, as of yet unidentified, men's model. It is in crisp, near mint condition showing virtually no wear. The case still retains its brushed and polished finishes. Flexible lugs are nice and tight with no looseness. Hinged caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 40mm long and 26mm wide. Original luminous dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Benrus manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
