Gruen Curvex Executive 370 14K

The original "Curvex Executive" was introduced by Gruen in 1945 with a three-diamond dial and the 440 Curvex movement. Around 1948, Gruen introduced the second version of the "Executive" in a larger and more deeply curved case with the 370 Curvametric movement, also with a three-diamond dial, priced at $200.00. Around 1951, Gruen introduced this final version in the large case with a 5-diamond dial. It is quite scarce and this is the only example I have ever offered. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Case has most of its brushed and polished finishes. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with all of its original brushed finish. Case measures 40mm long and 22mm wide. Original dial is excellent. Faceted glass crystal is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen grade 370 Curvex manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
