Elgin “Model 6603G Service Watch” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1942.
The “Model 6603G Service Watch” has an all-steel case and was advertised as suitable for service men. It was priced to consumers at $37.50 in 1942. This example is in excellent condition showing only very light wear, plus a few light marks. Screwdown caseback is excellent, with a name engraving and some light scratches. The case measures 36mm long and 30mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Original factory new-old-stock dial is superb, has new luminous. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 554 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
