Scarce Hamilton “Putnam” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1934.
The “Putnam” is perhaps Hamilton’s most dramatically stepped Art Deco design wristwatch from the 1930s. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1934 and only 3,862 were produced in white. This example is in excellent condition with some light brassing to the edges of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved with only a few tiny specks of wear. Case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
