Scarce Hamilton “Putnam” men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1933.
The “Putnam” is perhaps Hamilton’s most dramatically stepped Art Deco design wristwatch from the 1930s. It was priced to consumers at $55.00 in 1933. This example is in excellent condition with only a very light brassing to the highpoints of the lugs. Caseback is excellent with no brassing. Case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Older refinished dial is excellent, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
