Scarce Hamilton “Cushion” men’s Modern design wristwatch in sterling silver, circa 1924.
The sterling silver “Cushion” is fairly scarce, with just 2,588 produced with the 986A movement from 1923 to 1929. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1924. This example is in excellent condition, with the unpolished case showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent, with a Modernist design monogram. Case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Dial with unusual black printed antique Arabic figures is excellent. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 986A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
