Hamilton “Sentinel” men’s Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1945.

The “Sentinel” with its seconds-setting (hacking) feature, was marketed to doctors, radio technicians, and laboratory and research engineers. It was priced at $52.50 in 1945. This example is in excellent condition with only a faint trace of brassing on the bezel rim. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some light scratches. The case measures 36mm long and 29mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new acrylic crystal. Has correct, original winding crown. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987S manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
