Hamilton “Sentinel” men’s Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1941.

The “Sentinel” appeared in October of 1940 and with its second-setting (hack-setting) feature, was marketed to doctors, radio technicians, and laboratory and research engineers. It was priced at $45.00 in 1941.  This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few faint specks of brassing to the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a minute touch of wear to the opening tab. The case measures 36mm long and 29mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987S manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
