Scarce Hamilton "Ross" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K coral gold fill, circa 1940.

Hamilton produced coral (pink) wristwatches for only a year or two around the beginning of World War II... all models in pink are scarce due to their limited time in production. The coral “Ross” was introduced on November 13, 1939 and priced to consumers at $52.50. This example is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with traces of its original brushed finish. Case measures 37mm long and 24mm wide. Refinished coral finish dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
