Very rare Hamilton “Barrel Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1927.

This is the earliest version of the "Barrel Engraved" which was offered for only a few months in 1927 and cased in a Wadsworth case. Later in 1927, this model was replaced by the version in a Fahys case with a different bezel engraving. This Wadsworth version has a unique bezel engraving pattern and is very rare, only 199 watches were produced in green. It was priced to consumers at $57.00 in 1927. This example is in excellent condition with only a very small spot of brassing in each bezel corner. Caseback is excellent, with a monogram, and a tiny spot of wear in two of the corners. Case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. Crown is yellow. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
