Elgin "Campus 940" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1931.

The "Campus 940" has a long, curved case and was priced at $29.75 in 1931. This example is in excellent condition showing only some light scratches and marks to the chromium plating. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with no pitting. The case measures 40mm long and 23mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Original dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 488 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
