Uncommon Elgin “Campus 669” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.
This variety of the Elgin’s “Campus” is not often seen. It has a large, rectangular cut-corner case with stylized engravings on the bezel and a dial with silver-inlaid numerals. This example is in excellent condition with only very light brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some scratches. The case measures 39mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
