Rare Hamilton “Automatic K-150” men’s Retro Modern design presentation wristwatch in solid 18K yellow gold and stainless steel, circa 1956.

The “Automatic K-150” has a solid 18K yellow gold bezel and a stainless steel case back. It was priced at $175.00 in 1956. It is a rare watch and this is only the second example I have ever offered. This example is in very good condition showing only very light wear. The screwdown caseback is very good with some scratches and a presentation etching from the California Texas Oil Company Limited. This company was a joint venture between The Texas Company and Standard Oil of California to develop overseas oil production. The case measures 40mm long and 34mm wide. Original dial is very good, with some patina. Gold-plated hands show light corrosion. This is a non-standard dial for this model, but Hamilton's Awards Division often fitted presentation watches with different dials to distinguish them regular consumer versions of the same watch. Has new acrylic crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 661 automatic wind movement, which is currently unserviced but running well. The movement will be serviced prior to shipment.
