Elgin “American Efficiency 451” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in two-tone 14K green and white gold fill, circa 1929.

A larger-size watch, the “American Efficiency 451” has fancy stylized Art Deco engraved designs on the bezel and lugs with the center case body being green and the bezel and caseback being white. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners and lugs. Bezel engravings are bold and unworn. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 31mm wide. Original new old stock two-tone dial is excellent with just a touch of patina. This dial has not had luminous applied to the numerals. Has new glass crystal. Has correct stepped green gold filled crown. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 487 manual wind movement. just serviced and running strong.
