Very rare Elgin “1600 Series” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.

This model has yet to be identified by Elgin enthusiasts from existing Elgin documents, but us likely part of Elgin's 1600 series of men's watches. It is very rare and this is only the second example I have ever seen. It has a factory-signed, four-piece lugless, stepped and beveled case with the strap attaching to hinged bars set into a recess in the case. It is in excellent condition showing only very minor brassing to the bezel and case corners, plus one small ding on the bezel near 7 o'clock. Caseback is excellent, with a presentation monogram. The case measures 29mm long and 29mm wide. Original new old stock dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
