Elgin "Model 6606" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1941.

The “Model 6606” has a round case with a sweep seconds movement and was advertised as suitable for servicemen. It was priced at $39.75 in 1941. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 33mm long and 29mm wide. Original two-tone silver and white dial is excellent, with some light spotting. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 16-jewel Elgin grade 532 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has vintage Elgin pigskin strap with Elgin steel buckle.
