Very scarce Longines “Diamond Dial” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid platinum, circa 1942.

Longines offered this model in platinum, palladium, and 14K gold. The case was made by the boutique jewelry firm of Kaspar & Esh of New York City, specifically for Longines. This is a catalogued, Longines-signed, genuine factory-cased watch... not an aftermarket jeweler-cased watch. It is in crisp, near mint condition with well-defined edges and all of its satin finish, with only a few very faint marks. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 40mm long and 21mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has 11 diamonds. Has new acrylic crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Longines grade 9L manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
