Lord Elgin Model 4502

Scarce Lord Elgin “Model 4502” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1942.

This was Elgin‘s first asymmetric case design, resembling a scroll being unrolled from bottom to top. The “Model 4502” was priced to consumers at $150.00 in 1942. It is in crisp, near mint condition showing almost no wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 36mm long and 20mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Glass crystal is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 559 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
