Rare Hamilton “Barrel B Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.

Hamilton made several varieties of wristwatches based on the barrel shape, with this “Barrel B” model being the final and most elusive version. As one of Hamilton’s most stylized Art Deco watches, the “Barrel B” features Southwestern-inspired geometric designs set against a textured background on the bezel. Catalogued for only a short time, Hamilton records show that a mere 1,237 were produced in white gold fill. It was priced at $57.00 in 1929. This is one of the few examples I have offered. This example is in excellent condition with only a small amount of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with one small spot of corner wear and a slight discoloration in the center of the caseback. Case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is excellent. Has new  glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $900. SOLD
