Rare Elgin "Model 1096" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1933.

The "Model 1096" is a smaller-sized men's watch and has a hammered design bezel. It was priced at $75.00 in 1933. It is a rare model and this is the first example I have offered in many years. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear to the hammered design in the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent, with an elaborate presentation engraving from 1933. Case measures 33mm long and 22mm wide. Refinished inlaid enamel dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 484 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
