Scarce Hamilton “Grant” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid sterling silver, circa 1934.

The "Grant" was named in honor of Civil War hero, General Ulysses S. Grant. Also available in gold fill, it is a scarce watch in sterling silver, with only 3,403 examples produced. It was priced at $42.50 in 1934. This example is in excellent condition, showing only very light wear. Sterling case has a pleasing soft gray patina. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 36mm long and 28mm wide. Older refinished two-tone dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
