Scarce Elgin "Professional Model 6606H" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1942.
The “Model 6606H” has a round steel case with a striking two-tone pink and white dial, with a red-tipped sweep seconds hand. It was advertised as suitable for professionals and doctors and was priced at $39.75 in 1942. It is very scarce with the pink dial. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing almost no wear. Case has all of its polished and brushed finishes. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 33mm long and 29mm wide. Acrylic crystal is excellent. Original two-tone pink and white finish dial is good, with some patina and spotting. The watch is powered by its correct 16-jewel Elgin grade 532 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
