Scarce Movado "Curviplan" men's Machine Age design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1937.
This curved and stepped "Curviplan" was made for the high-end jeweler Black, Starr & Gorham of New York City. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing only very light wear and well-defined steps and case edges. Caseback is excellent, with an elegant, shaded monogram. Case measures 40mm long and 23mm wide. Original two-tone dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Movado grade 510 Curviplan movement, just serviced and running strong.
