Very scarce Elgin “Madame Jenny” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with green and white enamel, circa 1928.

In the 1920s Elgin retained top designers of international prominence to create some fantastic designs. This variety of Elgin’s “Parisienne” series was designed by Madame Jenny Sacerdote, whose design shop was located at 70 Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. It has stylized zigzag and triangular patterns with green and white enamel and was priced at $35.00. It is quite scarce in green and is only the fourth example I have ever offered in green. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners and a few light marks. Enamel is excellent with a tiny chip in the top green triangle. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with a few tiny dings and some light wear along the edges. The case measures 30mm long and 17mm wide. Original factory new old stock dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 488 movement. Period white gold filled Kriesler mesh bracelet is excellent.

Price $325.
