Hamilton “Sentinel” men’s Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1941.

The “Sentinel” appeared in October of 1940 and with its second-setting (hack-setting) feature, was marketed to doctors, radio technicians, and laboratory and research engineers. It was priced at $42.50 in 1941. Most often seen with a gold numeral dial, the "Sentinel" is somewhat scarce with the Roman numeral dial. This example is in excellent condition with only very light brassing to the bezel and lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 36mm long and 29mm wide. Original two-tone silver finish Roman numeral dial is very good, with some patina and spotting. Has new acrylic crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987S manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $225. SOLD
