Scarce Hamilton "Flight II" men's Space Age design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1960.

Among the most sought-after of Hamilton's futuristic designs of the 1960s, the "Flight II" has a bold Space Age asymmetric design case with a large boomerang lug attachment at the top. The top lug has a textured finish that is continued onto the left side of the bezel. Price at $95.00 in 1960, the "Flight II" was apparently not a popular watch with consumers and few were sold. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel corners and the tips of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a touch of wear under the crown and a small spot of wear-through at the opening tab which has been sealed. The case measures 34mm long and 37mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has a champagne finish and solid 14K gold applied numerals and markers. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 22-jewel Hamilton grade 770 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $1,300. SOLD
