Omega “Automatic Ref. 6262” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1958.

This is American-cased Omega was sold by Norman Morris Co., which was Omega's sole American distibutor. It imported Omega movements and dials, then assembled and sold the watches using cases manufacured by American casemakers such as Jonell, Star, and Wadsworth. Many of these case designs are unique to these American-cased Omegas and not found on Omega models assembled in Switzerland. This example is in excellent condition with no brassing, just light overall wear and a few faint marks. The caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few very faint dings. Case measures 39mm long and 33mm wide. Original black finish dial is very good, and has developed a very light, pleasing tropical patina. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Omega caliber 490 automatic wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
