Scarce Hamilton "Sutton" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1938.
The "Sutton" has large, curved tubular lugs and was priced at $50.00 in 1937. It is quite scarce with the two-tone black enamel inlaid dial. This example is in excellent condition with no brassing, just some light marks. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some faint scratches and a few tiny specks of wear in the corners. The case measures 43mm long and 25mm wide. Original two-tone inlaid enamel dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has correct, thick crown to properly fit the recess in the side of the case.
Price $400. SOLD
