Rare Longines "Jubilee IX" men's Retro Modern design Olympics presentation diamond dial wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1952.

This Longines "Jubilee IX" wristwatch was presented by the City of Chicago to Chicago-born gymnast William Roetzheim, who competed in the 1948 and 1952 Olympic Games. He also won gold medals at the Pan American Games and served as a gymnastics judge at the Olympic Games from 1984 to 1996. With this factory diamond dial, the watch was priced at $275.00 in 1952. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent. The case measures 37mm long and 24mm wide. Dial is good with some patina, has hour markers set with 9 genuine diamonds. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Longines grade 9L manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
