Very scarce Waltham “Doctor’s Pulsations” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1942.

Waltham produced this variation of its “Upton” model with a variety of different dials, with this red “pulsations” dial marketed to doctors being the scarcest. This unique dial allowed doctors to quickly calculate a patient’s pulse using the sweep seconds hand. It was priced at $39.75 in 1942. It is in crisp, excellent condition with only very thin line of faint brassing to the bezel rim. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 38mm long and 26mm wide and takes a 14mm strap. Original dial is superb, has embossed gold numerals. Has new crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 18-jewel Waltham Premier manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $500. SOLD
