Elgin was the first U.S. watch company to offer a wristwatch approved for railroad time-keeping, and used the "B.W. Raymond" name carried over from its railroad approved pocket watches. This model was priced at $79.50 in 1960. This example is in crisp, near mint condition showing almost no wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 42mm long and 36mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 23-jewel Elgin grade 730A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong
