Elgin Model E-9 14K
Rare Elgin “Model E-9” men’s Art Nouveau design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold, circa 1928.
The “Model E-9” has ornate Art Nouveau design stylized engravings on the bezel and case sides, and was priced at $55.00 in 1928. It is quite rare in solid gold and this is only the third example I have ever offered. This example is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Engraved designs are bold and crisp. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few light dings. Case measures 36mm long and 27mm wide. Original dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
