Elgin Deluxe 5527

Scarce Elgin "Deluxe 5527" men's Mid-Century Modern design wristwatch in 10K white gold fill with factory original bracelet, circa 1955.

The Elgin "Deluxe 5527" has a thick pyramid bezel. The lugs are hidden to allow the matching pyramid bracelet to flow seamlessly from the bezel. It is a scarce watch with a black dial and its original JB Champion gold-filled matching bracelet. This example is in excellent condition showing no brassing, just some light marks to the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 22mm wide. Thick flat-top glass crystal is excellent. Original black satin-finish dial is excellent. The watch is powered by a 21-jewel Elgin grade 559 manual wind movement (an upgrade from the usual 17-jewel), just serviced and running strong. Original JB Champion bracelet is very good, with some dings and very light wear.
