Rare Hamilton “Hastings” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1930.
The “Hastings” has a square case with rounded corners, giving it a very streamlined look. It was priced to consumers at $85.00 in 1930. Usually found in gold fill, solid gold examples of the “Hastings” are rare, with only 1,240 watches produced in yellow. This example is in excellent condition showing only very light wear and a few light marks, and one tiny faint ding on the edge of upper bezel between the lugs. The caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a small ding. Case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct Hamilton 17- jewel grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
