Hamilton Tonneau Engraved 14K

With its large distinctive case and ornate engravings, the “Tonneau Engraved” is one of the classic Hamilton designs from the 1920s. It was priced to consumers at $85.00 in 1929 and only 675 were produced in solid green gold. It is a rare watch and this is only the second example I have ever offered. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Case has developed a rich patina from age. Caseback is excellent, with a 1962 engraving... no doubt this was cherished vintage family heirloom that was passed down to a subsequent generation after more than 30 years of faithful service to its original owner. The case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished two-tone dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
