Extremely rare Waltham "Depollier Colonial" men's Modern design pocketwatch in solid platinum, circa 1920.

Jacques Depollier & Son was a casemaker and jeweler in New York, and had an exclusive arrangement with Waltham to case and retail Waltham movements in Depollier cases, including pocket watches and the Khaki military-style trench wristwatches, usually in precious metal cases. This Colonial series Waltham has a high-grade, extra-thin 14-size 19-jewel Riverside movement housed in a solid platinum Depollier case. It is the only platinum Colonial model I have ever seen. It is in crisp, near mint condition showing virtually no wear. The platinum case retains all of its brushed finish. Even the crown is platinum. Hinged caseback is superb and unengraved. Has new glass crystal. Refinished inlaid enamel dial is excellent, with only a few light marks. The watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Waltham Riverside A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
