Elgin Home Run 677 a

Uncommon Elgin “Home Run 677” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.

The “Home Run 677” has an eight-sided case and a dial with gold embossed numerals. It was priced to consumers at $37.50 in 1931. It is somewhat uncommon and this is one of the few I’ve offered. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing; quite unusual for this model. The facets on the bezel are well-defined. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 29mm wide. New old stock dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by a 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
