Scarce Hamilton “Hastings” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1930.
The “Hastings” has a simple square case with rounded corners, giving it a very streamlined look. Normally found with a luminous dial, it is scarce with this dial with 18K gold applied numerals made by Fluckiger of Switzerland. With this special dial, the watch was priced at $63.00 in 1930. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing no brassing. The caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, with a few faint marks. The watch is powered by its correct 17- jewel grade 987-F Hamilton manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
