Scarce Elgin “Home Run 472” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with original bracelet, circa 1931.
The “Home Run 472” has cushion-shaped case with Art Deco geometric designs on the bezel and case sides. It was priced to consumers at $39.75 in 1931. It is very scarce with its original Kreisler white gold filled basket weave bracelet. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few tiny dings. The case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is very good, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. Original adjustable bracelet is excellent, with no brassing. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 487 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
