Elgin “Model 1240” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1937.

This striking, smaller-sized Elgin has a long triple-stepped case and was priced at $47.50 in 1937. It is in crisp, excellent condition with only a very minor touch of brassing to the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 38mm long and 20mm wide. Original dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 483 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
