Scarce Lord Elgin "Model 3536" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1940.
The narrow "Model 3536" has a deeply curved case with a coin edge bezel. It was priced at $55.00 in 1940 and is very scarce with the black dial. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing. Curved caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 42mm long and 22mm wide. Factory original new-old-stock black nickel finish gilt lettered dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 538 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. This watch takes a 14mm strap.
