Elgin Model 442

Scarce Elgin "Model 442" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1932.

The "Model 442" was Elgin's first doctor's/technician's style wristwatch with a center sweep seconds. It was priced at $27.50 in 1932 and is quite scarce. This example is in excellent condition with only very light brassing to the bezel corners. The caseback is excellent, with a stylized Art Deco monogram and one faint scratch. Original dial is excellent, with very slight patina from age. Case measures 35mm long by 29mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Has original large winding crown. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 502 manual wind movement, serviced a few years ago and still running strong.

Price $325. SOLD
