Elgin “Crusader 1815” men’s Machine Age design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1937.


This Elgin has a sharply angular and stepped case, and was priced at $37.50 in 1937. This example is in excellent condition with only very light brassing to the highpoints of the bezel and lugs. Caseback is excellent, with a monogram and a touch of wear in the corners. Case measures 37mm long and 25mm wide. Original embossed dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 524 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
