Hamilton "Endicott" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold over sterling silver, circa 1943.

The "Endicott" has become extremely collectible since it was worn by actor Cillian Murphy in the "Oppenheimer" movie. This version has the black numeral dial and a case with a sterling silver base, as brass had become a critical war material. These cases are about 15% heavier than the usual gold-filled ones and are stamped "A.G." in the caseback to denote this alternate case composition. It is in excellent condition with only very faint brassing to the bezel. Caseback is excellent, with a presentation engraving from 1946. The case measures 38mm long and 29mm wide. Has new acrylic crystal. Refinished dial is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
