Hamilton Pierre 14K

Very rare Hamilton "Pierre" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1936.

The "Pierre" has a ribbed case with flexible lugs, and was priced at $100.00 in 1936. The "Pierre" only appeared in the 1936 catalog, although Hamilton continued to sell the model in small numbers for several years afterward. The "Pierre" likely has the lowest production of the 14/0-size models produced by Hamilton, and this is only the second example I have offered in the last 20 years. This example is in excellent condition showing light wear and a few light marks. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few faint dents. Case measures 42mm long and 21mm wide. Two-tone inlaid enamel dial is excellent, has solid 18K applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $2,350. SOLD
