Rare Hamilton “Barrel Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1927.

This is the earliest version of the "Barrel Engraved" which was offered for only a few months in 1927 and cased in a Wadsworth case. Starting in August of 1927, this model was replaced by the version in a Fahys case with a different bezel engraving and a curved caseback. This Wadsworth version has a unique bezel engraving pattern and is very rare, with only 577 watches produced in white. This is only the second example I have ever offered. It was priced to consumers at $57.00 in 1927. It is in excellent condition with only a few small specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $500. SOLD
