Hamilton Sir Echo Diamond Dial 14K
Very rare Hamilton "Sir Echo Diamond Dial" men's Space Age design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold, circa 1961.
The "Sir Echo" in white gold with a conventional gold hour and marker dial is scarce, but Hamilton also offered a special version of the watch with either a 3-diamond dial or a 6-diamond dial. Both diamond dial versions are rare, but this 6-diamond version is very rare and seldom offered for sale. This is the only example of the 6-diamond dial version I have ever offered. It was priced at $225.00 in 1961. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent, with a faint dent. Case measures 40mm long and 34mm wide. Original dial is excellent, has solid 14K gold markers and 6 diamonds. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 22-jewel Hamilton grade 770 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
