Waltham Packard Motor Car 14K
Very rare Waltham "Packard Motor Car Co." men's Modern design presentation pocket watch in solid 14K green gold, circa 1926.
The Packard Motor Car Company used Waltham and Hamilton watches for service awards from the 1920s through the 1940s. These watches were special custom orders, and the caseback inscriptions were etched at the watch factory prior to shipment to the awardees. This is only the second Waltham Packard pocket watch I've ever seen. It is in excellent condition showing light wear. Unpolished case shows attractive patina. Interior caseback has the Packard presentation etching for 10 years of service for an employee who began at Packard in 1916. Case measures 45mm in diameter. Original gilt finish dial is excellent. Glass crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel, 14-size Waltham Riverside manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. The watch is accompanied by the employee's bronze and red enamel 1941 Packard Senior League watch fob for 25 years of service.
