Gruen Curvex Stephan 14K
Rare Gruen "Curvex Stephan" men's Mid-Century Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1956.
The "Stephan" model was one of the last Curvex models offered by Gruen and was priced at $135.00 in 1956. It is a rare watch and this is one of only a handful I've ever seen. It has a solid gold case with large, hooded lugs. It is in excellent condition showing only some light marks. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 25mm wide. Refinished dial is excellent, has gold embossed markers. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen grade 370 Curvex manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
